Self Portrait And Other Stuff

This was my first of today. My major downfall is hands. I am still learning. So hopefully, hands will be added to my list of stuff I can draw. And i spelled "sauce" wrong on purpose :).

Well, my little darlings, here I am. My self portrait. I never draw myself, but today I was inspired. This is what was birthed from my inspiration.

More ART!

This is Senri (from +Anima). He is my favorite character because he is stoic, sweet, and down right adorable!

This is something I drew while flying. It took a couple trips. I started it on a flight to Disney and finished it on a plane headed home from Seattle.

Art

I have been working all summer for a family with a set of twins (girl and boy). I watch them for a majority of the day while the parents are at work. I usually knit when the day is slow or the kids don't want bothered, but today was different. I ended up drawing.
I love drawing. It is really calming for me. I can always remember doing art of some sort. But this was one of the only pieces I did during summer. I was really surprised (and saddened) by that fact.
So, I've decided to try and put my art here. For the enjoyment of others (hopefully).
I do want to keep doing art for my whole life. I don't think I could ever make it in the "big times" of being a professional artist but a nerd can dream, right?

New Glasses

As a proud nerd, my crowning glory is my glasses. Basically they say that this person is awesome (or at least that is what I want them to say). I love glasses and the flare they add to any outfit. And I have fallen in love with Warby Parker glasses.
Warby Parker is an online store that sells eye wear. Vintage, retro, nerdy glasses. If the selection of glasses and sunglasses isn't enough to hook you, the one-for-one system will.
On-for-one means you buy a pair and they give a pair to someone in need. And you would think that these glasses would break the bank but each pair of glasses is $95 (lenses included).
If you are a little worried about buying glasses without trying them on fear not! Warby Parker website has a virtual try on app. Still not convinced? You can order up to 5 pairs of frames to try on at home for five days for FREE. No shipping fees there or back. Awesome, I know.
You can check out Warby Parker at http://www.warbyparker.com/. Enjoy.

A Very Potter Musical

"A Very Potter Musical" is a comedy, a fan-made parody of everyone's favorite boy who lived. It was created by StarKid Productions, a group from University of Michigan’s School of Music, Theater, and Dance. This group of  writers, actors, directors, designers, and producers are (in my words) beyond brilliant. With only $150 in their possession StarKid birthed AVPM. They wrote the screenplay and the music and was a hit. The writers put the musical on YouTube after three months and within days went viral.
The musical starts out with Harry Potter, center stage, alone. A majority of girls would realize that the person playing our beloved Potter is Darren Criss. For those who don't recognize the name he is Blaine Anderson from Glee. Mr. Criss doesn't just play Harry but he also wrote half of the music (Along with AJ Holmes).
The musical combines different components of the Harry Potter books and movies into what can only be called ULTIMATE FANDOM. If you are a die hard fan you will appreciate all their knowledge of all things Potter. If you are only a movie fan you can still laugh at all the jokes and enjoy the epicness.
Bottom line this is totally awesome so watch it (youtube.com).

Seattle's One And Only Pike's Place Market

If you are at all living, you will know about Seattle, Washington. The hippy center of the U.S.A., birthplace of grunge, home of the Space Needle, holder of the first Starbucks ever. All in all, wonderful. I personally love things that are not always mainstream (Hello, I'm a nerd!), so Seattle is a breath of fresh air.
If you want to actually see Seattle, go to Pike's Place Market. It is the perfect mixture of different cultures, art, food, music, homemade goodies, and flying fish. The products at the market are so diverse and beautiful in there own way you can't help but stop at every booth and just stare. Plus, it holds the first Starbucks (the only chain store of any kind in the market). Street performers are always in earshot and they are good and no two are the same.
I have three words for you: go, see, experience.

Questions, Questions, Questions

Who are you? I'm Sadie.
What are you? A human...? As far as I know.
Are you really a nerd? The definition for the word nerd is an insignificant student who is ridiculed as being affected or boringly studious. I wouldn't say I'm ridiculed but people say I can be boringly studious. So I would answer you, yes.
Why are you writing in both italics and normal fonts? To separate the inner thoughts with the outside answers.
Does that mean you are talking to yourself? I would call it more "typing" to myself.
Are you sane? My therapist says I am. She assures me I can handle myself in real life.
Alright, fine. Why are you blogging? I truly could not give a proper answer to that. I really don't know.
...You must have a reason... I really at this point don't.
Wow. Yeah, that is what I said.
